KineMaster text to speech: add a voiceover to your edit
KineMaster, the mobile video editor, can turn a text or caption layer into narration. It is quick for captions and short explainers, but the list of voices is fixed, and edits often need a particular character, a narrator or your own voice.
This guide shows how KineMaster’s Text to Speech works according to KineMaster, and how to add any other voice made with SuperClonica as an audio layer.
Turn a text layer into speech
According to KineMaster, select a text or caption layer on the timeline and tap the Text-to-Speech button. The first time, tap Get Plugin and download the Text to Speech plug-in from the Asset Store; it works best when the text is in the same language as the plug-in. Choose a voice and tap Convert, and an audio layer appears on the timeline, ready to trim and move.
Languages, offline use and quality
KineMaster’s FAQ says its Text to Speech supports 19 languages and that, once a language pack is downloaded from the Asset Store, conversion works offline. To make the result sound more natural, KineMaster suggests applying an AI Voice to the text to speech audio.
When you need another voice
For a meme, a fan edit or a branded channel you may need a specific voice: a movie or game character, an anime voice, a calm narrator. Hear catalog voices free on their pages with a line of 30 to 100 characters, no account needed, and download the line you like.
Add it to KineMaster as audio
Save the file to your phone and add it to the project as an audio layer, then trim it under the clip just like KineMaster’s own text to speech audio. For many lines, voice them on a computer with the free engine, installed with python -m pip install superclonica-cpu, one file per line, and copy the files to the phone.
Your own voice and fair use
Train your own voice once in the studio from a clean 5 to 10 second recording, and every caption can be read in it. Character voices in the catalog are fan-made, so share edits made with them as fan content. The engine speaks 31 languages; Chinese is not supported yet.
