GUIDE

Bingo caller voice: a voice pack for every number

A bingo night, a classroom game, a stream or a bingo app needs a caller who never gets tired. Instead of reading numbers aloud for an hour, you can make one audio file per number in a lively announcer voice and let your app or playlist call them.

This guide shows how to make a complete set of bingo calls, 1 to 75 or 1 to 90, which voices suit a caller, how to add the classic UK nicknames, and how to voice the whole pack offline and free with SuperClonica.

One file per number

US-style bingo uses numbers 1 to 75 with the letters B, I, N, G and O; UK-style bingo uses 1 to 90. Make one file per number, named 01.wav to 90.wav, so an app, a spreadsheet macro or a playlist on shuffle can play them in any order. Add a few extra lines such as “Eyes down!”, “Bingo!” and “Checking the card”.

Voices that suit a caller

A lively announcer or game show host keeps a room awake; a warm narrator suits a calm family game; a robot voice is fun for a sci-fi party. Try a few announcer voices free on their pages with a line like “B seven, number seven”, up to 100 characters, no account needed.

UK calls and nicknames

For UK bingo you can add the traditional nicknames before the number, such as “Kelly’s eye, number one”, “Legs eleven” or “Two fat ladies, eighty-eight”. Write them as you want them read, with a comma before the number so the voice pauses, and keep each call under three seconds so the game keeps moving.

Voice all 90 numbers at once

Install the free SuperClonica engine with python -m pip install superclonica-cpu. In Python: from superclonica import Superclonica, tts = Superclonica(), then for n in range(1, 91): audio, rate = tts.synthesize(f"Number {n}.", voice="announcer.json", lang="en", seed=5); tts.save(f"{n:02}.wav", audio). A fixed seed keeps the caller sounding the same on every number. The engine runs offline on an ordinary processor, so the whole pack takes minutes, and it speaks 31 languages for bingo in Spanish, German or French; Chinese is not supported yet.
