Pudge voice AI: make Pudge say anything

Pudge, the Butcher, is the hero every Dota 2 player has met at the end of a hook: hungry, patient and frightening in a calm way. His voice is a favorite for memes, edits, stream alerts and chat bots.

The SuperClonica catalog has a fan-made Pudge voice for Supertonic 3. This guide shows what it sounds like, how to make him say your lines, how to put him in a Discord or Telegram bot and how to voice long texts offline.

What the Pudge voice sounds like

A low, measured man’s voice, at its best in a calm conversation that slowly turns sinister. It was recorded in Russian, so it sounds most natural in Russian and keeps a Russian accent in English and other languages. It is a fan-made voice, not the voice of any Dota 2 voice actor, and it is not endorsed by Valve.

Make Pudge say a line free

On the voice page, type a line of 30 to 100 characters, choose the language and press Voice it. In a few seconds you can listen and download the recording for your meme or edit, with no account.

Write lines that sound like Pudge

His menace is calm: short sentences about hunger, fresh meat and the next victim, said without shouting. Put a full stop where he would pause and let the words do the work. Write your own lines rather than copying the game’s voice lines word for word: they land better in memes and keep the original script out of it.

Pudge in a Discord or Telegram bot

A bot can speak with this voice through the SuperClonica speech API: create a free key on the speech API page, then send POST https://superclonica.com/api/v1/speech with the text, the language and the voice ID from the Pudge voice page (357d24281aeb52e28b95200cbd504b14); the answer is an ogg, mp3 or wav file to post in the chat. The free plan gives 3 minutes of audio a day, enough for a small server, and every catalog voice is included. Ready examples in curl, Python and Node.js are linked below.

Long texts offline

For a long edit or many lines, buy the voice once, download its file and install the free SuperClonica engine: python -m pip install superclonica-cpu. Save the lines in a text file and voice them with one command: superclonica --text-file pudge.txt --voice pudge.json --lang en --output pudge.wav. The engine runs offline on an ordinary processor, with no character limit.

Fan fun, not deception

Use the voice for memes, edits, bots and personal projects within the SuperClonica terms. Do not present the audio as official Dota 2 content or as a real voice actor’s words.
