Police radio dispatch voice for roleplay

On a roleplay server, in a game mod or an audio drama, a dispatch call sets the scene before anyone says a word: a calm voice on a crackling radio sending units to the next incident. Recording every call yourself sounds like you; a voice that sounds like a real dispatcher makes the world feel alive.

The SuperClonica catalog has a radio-style voice recorded in English, a free online test and a free engine that voices a whole set of calls offline. This guide shows how to write calls, how to make them sound like a radio and where the line is.

Voices for dispatch

Two or three voices on one channel already sound like a busy shift.

  • Police Radio Girl: a radio-style female voice recorded in English, made for dispatch calls.
  • Reporter: a male voice with clear emphasis for headquarters or news inserts.
  • The ten stock voices of the model, M1 to M5 and F1 to F5, for more officers on the channel, free in the engine.

Voice a call free online

On the page of the voice, type a call of 30 to 100 characters, choose the language and press Voice it. In a few seconds you can listen and download it, with no account.

Write calls that sound real

Then make it sound like a radio in any audio editor such as Audacity: cut the lows below about 300 Hz and the highs above about 3 kHz, add a little distortion and a short squelch at the start and end.

  • Calm and flat: dispatchers sound steady, not dramatic.
  • Fixed structure: who is called, what happened, where, and what to do.
  • Codes and numbers the way they are said: “code three”, “unit twelve”, letters as words such as “Adam” or “Lincoln”.
  • Street names from your game world, spelled the way they should sound.

A whole set of calls offline

Install the free SuperClonica engine: python -m pip install superclonica-cpu. Voice each call with one command, for example superclonica --text "All units, all units. Robbery in progress at the bank on Vinewood Boulevard. Suspects armed. Respond code three." --voice radio.json --lang en --normalize --output dispatch_07.wav. Keep the calls in a text file, voice them in a loop, and --normalize keeps every call at the same loudness, −18 LUFS. Batch the radio effect in your editor, and the set is ready for your server’s sound system, a mod folder or an audio drama. It runs offline on an ordinary processor, with no character limit.

Fiction only

These calls are for games, roleplay and fiction. Never use them to imitate real emergency services, never broadcast them on real radio frequencies, and never use them for prank calls or to make anyone believe a real emergency is happening. On a roleplay server, follow its rules about audio, and in public videos make clear that the dispatch is part of the story.
