Voicemaker is a feature-rich online text-to-speech editor: many voices and languages, pitch and speed controls, pause settings and voice effects. Its standard voices are free, while the premium models, cloned voices and commercial use come with paid plans and credits, and each generation takes up to 3,000 characters.

Long scripts offline

Buy or download the voice, install the free engine: python -m pip install superclonica-cpu, save the script as a text file and run superclonica --text-file script.txt --voice narrator.json --lang en --output voice.mp3. Long texts are split at natural pauses and joined into one file; an hour of audio takes several minutes on an ordinary desktop processor. The same text, voice and seed always give the same audio, so a corrected sentence matches the rest.

When Voicemaker is the better choice

Choose Voicemaker when you want fine controls in the browser, such as pitch, emotions and effects, a very long list of languages including Chinese, or nothing to install. SuperClonica has no pitch or emotion controls and no SSML: delivery comes from the voice and the punctuation. Choose it for long texts without credits, character voices and work that stays offline.
