Gollum voice AI: free Gollum text to speech
Gollum is one of the most imitated voices in film: the hiss, the gulping, the two personalities arguing about the precious. Fans use that voice for memes, edits, reaction clips and their own fantasy scenes, and a text-to-speech voice lets you write new lines for him.
The SuperClonica catalog has a fan-made Gollum voice for Supertonic 3, and it is free. This guide shows what it sounds like, how to make lines sound like him and how to voice whole scenes offline.
What the Gollum voice sounds like
Whispering and growling, a creature voice rather than a narrator. Its author made it from a film recording; it is a fan-made voice, not the voice of Andy Serkis or any other actor, and it is not endorsed by the film studios or the Tolkien estate. It was recorded in English, so it sounds most natural in English and keeps an English accent in other languages.
A free voice
Unlike most character voices in the catalog, Gollum costs nothing. Try a line of 30 to 100 characters on its page with no account, then download the voice file free and use it as often as you like.
Make it sound like Gollum
Write the way he talks: short broken phrases, repeated words, plurals where they do not belong and the hiss spelled out, like yesss. Let him argue with himself: write the Smeagol lines a little softer and more pleading and voice them separately with a slightly slower speed, such as --speed 0.9, then cut the two takes together. Write your own lines rather than quoting the books or films word for word.
Whole scenes offline
Install the free SuperClonica engine with python -m pip install superclonica-cpu, save the lines in a text file and voice them with one command: superclonica --text-file gollum.txt --voice gollum.json --lang en --output gollum.wav. For the softer half, voice a line on its own: superclonica --text "..." --voice gollum.json --lang en --speed 0.9 --output smeagol.wav. The engine runs offline on an ordinary processor, with no character limit.
Fan fun, not deception
Use the voice for memes, parodies, fan scenes and personal projects within the SuperClonica terms. Do not present the audio as a clip from the films or as an actor’s words.
