Name ringtone maker: talking ringtones in AI voices
A talking ringtone tells you who is calling before you even look at the screen: “Mom is calling, pick up the phone” in a warm voice, or the same news delivered by Darth Vader. A ringtone is a single short phrase, which makes it one of the easiest things to voice.
On SuperClonica you can voice a ringtone phrase for free on the page of any voice and download the recording. This guide shows which voices suit a ringtone, how to put the file on an iPhone or an Android phone, and how to make one for every contact at once with the free engine.
Voices for a talking ringtone
Listen to a few demos first: on a ringtone you recognize the voice before the words.
- Darth Vader: “Your phone is ringing. Answer it.” Hard to ignore.
- Jarvis (ENG): a polite assistant announcing an incoming call.
- Pleasant Announcer and Pleasant Girl: calm voices for a ringtone you hear in public.
- SpongeBob and the Super Smash Bros. 4/Ultimate Announcer: loud and cheerful.
- Gollum and Valera the Gummy Bear: free voices, if you want a laugh at no cost.
Make a ringtone free online
On the page of any voice, type the ringtone phrase, 30 to 100 characters, choose the language and press Voice it. A phrase like “Mom is calling. Pick up the phone, it might be important.” fits easily. In a few seconds you can listen and download the recording, with no account.
Put it on your phone
The download is a WAV or MP3 file. If the iPhone does not offer Use as Ringtone for a WAV, convert it to MP3 first, or voice the phrase straight to MP3 with the engine.
- iPhone with iOS 26 or later: save the file to the Files app, open it, tap Share and choose Use as Ringtone. The file must be shorter than 30 seconds; MP3, M4A and M4R work.
- Older iPhones: import the file into GarageBand on the phone and share it as a ringtone.
- Android: most phones have an add button in Settings, Sound, Ringtone that picks any audio file; on others, copy the file to the Ringtones folder.
- For one person only, open the contact and choose the ringtone there.
A ringtone for every contact
To give every contact a ringtone with their name, install the free SuperClonica engine: python -m pip install superclonica-cpu. Then voice each line with one command: superclonica --text "Mom is calling. Pick up the phone." --voice F3 --lang en --output mom.mp3. The engine writes MP3 directly, runs offline on an ordinary processor and has no character limit; the ten built-in voices are free, and catalog voices are bought once.
Write a ringtone that works
Put the name first, so you know who is calling after one word. Keep it to one or two short sentences: the phone repeats the ringtone until you answer, so three to six seconds is plenty. A full stop makes a short pause, which helps the phrase loop cleanly. Character voices are fan-made and not the original actors; a ringtone on your own phone is exactly the kind of personal use they are made for.
