GUIDE

An Uberduck alternative for text to speech

Uberduck started as a meme voice site and is now a platform for AI vocals: text to speech, singing and rapping from text, voice cloning, speech to speech and AI music, with more than 70 languages and an API. Its plans run on monthly credits; in October 2026 the pricing page listed Starter at $2 a month, Creator at $5 and Pro at $30, billed yearly, with commercial use from Creator up.

If what you need is speech rather than songs, this guide compares Uberduck with SuperClonica honestly and shows where each one is the better choice.

What Uberduck does well

Singing and rap from text, AI music with lyrics, voice conversion and cloning, and a long list of languages are things SuperClonica does not do. If your project is a song, a rap verse or a voice changed from your own recording, Uberduck is built for it.

Where SuperClonica is different

SuperClonica does one thing, speech, with the Supertonic 3 model in 31 languages. The engine is free and runs offline on an ordinary processor, so long texts cost nothing per character. Voices from the catalog are bought once and stay yours as a file, with no monthly credits, and stock voices may be used commercially.

Try before you pay

Any voice page voices a line of 30 to 100 characters free, with no account, and a few voices are free to download entirely. Then install the engine with python -m pip install superclonica-cpu and voice a whole script offline: superclonica --text-file script.txt --voice F2 --lang en --output script.wav.

For apps and bots

The SuperClonica speech API returns audio from one POST request and includes every catalog voice; a free key gives 3 minutes of audio a day, and paid plans start at $5 a month. Uberduck’s API access starts with its Creator plan. Compare by the minutes you actually need.

Which to choose

Choose Uberduck for vocals, rap, music and voice conversion. Choose SuperClonica for spoken audio: narration, character lines, bots and games, when you want to run it offline, pay once for a voice or start with a free API tier.
