GUIDE

Text2Speech.org alternative: more voices, more languages, no length limit

Text2Speech.org is a simple, free converter: type text, choose a voice, download an MP3. It does that well, and its files may be used for any purpose, including commercial use.

Where it stops is choice: a handful of voices and 4000 characters per conversion. This guide compares it honestly with SuperClonica and shows when each one is the better pick.

What Text2Speech.org offers

The site converts up to 4000 characters at a time into an MP3 you can play or download, with five speaking speeds and a file name of your choice. The voices are a US English female and male voice, a male voice with a Scottish accent, a small low-quality male voice, a Hindi female voice and a Marathi male voice. It is free and allows commercial use of the files.

When it is enough

For a short English or Hindi announcement, a quick test or a voice that just needs to be clear, Text2Speech.org is fast and simple, and you do not need an account.

When you need more

SuperClonica has hundreds of voices, from calm narrators and the ten stock voices to fan-made character voices from games, anime and films, and every voice speaks 31 languages. On any voice page you can voice a line of 30 to 100 characters free, with no account, and download it.

Long texts without a limit

For books, scripts and batches, install the free engine with python -m pip install superclonica-cpu and run superclonica --text-file script.txt --voice M2 --lang en --output script.mp3. It runs offline on an ordinary processor with no character limit, so long texts are not split into 4000-character pieces.

Rights

The ten stock voices are free under the OpenRAIL-M licence and suit commercial projects; your own trained voice is yours. Character voices in the catalog are fan-made and meant for fan and personal use.
