GLaDOS voice generator: your lines in the voice of the Portal AI
The polite, cold voice that praises you while insulting you is the heart of Portal. SuperClonica has a fan-made AI voice in the manner of GLaDOS: type a line and hear it, free and without an account, or voice a whole set of announcements on your own computer.
The GLaDOS voice in the catalog
The voice was made from English recordings, so it sounds most natural in English: a calm, even, synthetic female voice with a cold, polite tone. Like every voice, it also speaks the other 30 languages of Supertonic 3, with an English accent. It costs $2.99 once; the game characters category has more voices.
Who voices GLaDOS
In Valve’s Portal games, GLaDOS, the AI that runs the Aperture Science test center, is voiced by Ellen McLain. The character was created by Erik Wolpaw and Kim Swift. The voice in our catalog is fan-made and is not the actress.
Voice a line free online
On the voice page, type a phrase of 30 to 100 characters, choose the language and press Voice it. In a few seconds you can listen and download the recording for your video or meme. No account is needed.
Write it like GLaDOS
GLaDOS sounds like a polite announcement with a sting at the end: a neutral statement, a compliment that is not one, a test result and a dry remark. Keep the sentences even and use full stops, never exclamation marks. For a mod or a smart-home announcement, record each message as its own line.
Unlimited lines on your computer
For longer scripts, buy the voice once, download its file and install the free SuperClonica engine:
python -m pip install superclonica-cpuThen voice a line with one command:
superclonica --text "Please proceed to the next test chamber." --voice glados.json --lang en --output glados.wavIt runs offline on an ordinary processor, with no character limit.
A fan voice, used fairly
This is a fan-made AI voice, not Ellen McLain, and it is not endorsed by Valve. Use it for fan videos, game mods, memes and home announcements within the SuperClonica terms, mark parody clearly and never present a line as official.
